Go

The classic board game Go. The objective is to surround a larger total area of the board with your stones than the opponent.

Place your piece on any intersection of the board to start the game. Switch turns with your opponent, putting one stone per turn. Enclose your opponent's stones entirely to take them from the board. Dominate more territory than your opponent by the end of the game to succeed. Use planning to prevent your opponent's moves while expanding your own territory. Note that stones are fixed once placed, unless taken. The match finishes when both players forgo their turns consecutively, indicating no more moves can benefit either side.
